SHORE TO INSPIRE

NEWS UPDATE:
The Seawatch Coastal Living Idea House has finished it's 13 week run for open house tours. During this time money was raised from ticket proceeds to donate to the Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina. On December 10th, members of the Idea House team presented the charitable organization with a check for $25,738.61. You can read more about this donation here or continue to view these pages for information about Seawatch at Sunset Harbor and the 2009 Coastal Living Idea House.

Each year, Coastal Living Magazine constructs special Idea Houses in hand-selected coastal communities that represent environmental consciousness and sensitivity to shoreline preservation.  The Idea House celebrates the best in coastal home innovation, décor, and construction. Seawatch exceeds these expectations.

Nicole Hendrick, Idea Home Manager for Coastal Living described the magazine’s coveted selection with, “Over the past 10 years we have been looking at what was happening in Brunswick County. Last year we looked at Seawatch at Sunset Harbor and it was love at first sight. They have a good vision for today and for generations to come, great architecture, a commitment to using sustainable products and to protect the environment...overall, Seawatch has it all.”

The 2009 Idea House will be an original Cape design by Guidry-Coastal Architecture and built by master builder Mark Saunders Luxury Homes® in the Tidal Village of Victoria.  This impressive homesite is located on a beautiful bluff overlooking the peaceful tidal waters of Mercer Mill Creek and lush wildlife preserve areas.

Cape style architecture had its beginnings in the Boston area in the early 1880s and is recognizable by its gambrel and bell-shaped roofs, generous porches, and free flowing living spaces. The Seawatch Coastal Living 2009 Idea House will feature these traditional aspects with a relevant new coastal Carolina approach, including Mark Saunders Luxury Homes’ signature five-sided architecture, featuring unmatched detail and creativity on all sides and the roof.  Additional design considerations will include thoughtful outdoor living spaces with a kitchen and eating area, sleeping porch, bunkroom, recreation room, kayak storage room, spectacular master bedroom and bath, kitchen, and a top floor gathering place with fireplace.

The Idea House is open for private showings for interested buyers though mid January. For more information call 877.732.9282 or send us your contact information online.
